$19.99 each
Weight: 1 kg

Son of NFL Pro Bowler Dwight Scales (wide receiver for the Rams, Chargers, Giants and Seahawks), Joshua Augustus Scales not only possesses phenomenal athleticism, but was also instilled with a top notch work ethic in the gym and on the field at an early age. Scales got his first taste of combat at Pan Am Boxing in East Austin in 2004 at the age of 17. After boxing for six months, his family made the move to North Austin and the Anderson Mill area, and he was forced to look to other sports for a while until LA Boxing opened in his neighborhood. He went to work for the gym selling memberships and it was during this time that he met his future coach/mentor Chris “Head Trauma” Tramell, original member of Team Couture, Las Vegas and 15 year veteran of MMA. The two immediately hit it off and quickly became both good friends and daily training partners. A few months later, Marcus “Money” Sursa joined the team, a college national and Texas state wrestling champion and veteran of Bellator. Scales began his foray into hardcore MMA training the tough way by sparring daily with these two experienced light heavyweights while walking at a weight of 155. Due to his work ethic and lack of fear in training his skill level progressed dramatically in a very short period of time and he turned professional right away.

After the closing of La Boxing Scales and the rest of the team moved camp to the XFC Training in Cedar Park, TX, where he continues to train under the guidance of Kru Edy Ngamkhao and BJJ Black Belt and Pride and IFL vet Dave Phillips. Scales has become a Featured League fighter for The King Of Kombat out of Austin, coming off two recent impressive wins for the promotion, a devastating second round knockout due to knees and a three round war that earned him Fight Of The Night honors. Hes been a sparring partner for WEC contender Kamal Shalorous, Strikeforce top ranked middleweight Tim Kennedy, UFC and Strikeforce vet Paul Buentello, and IFL, Bellator, and Dream vet Shad Lierley. If his phenom-like progression in the sport is any indicator, look for the Cobra to break into the big leagues soon.
